Quantum Mechanics is a fundamental branch of physics (science-based human tool), and Metaphysics is a fundamental part of philosophy (similar to science, or "a" science, because it is a tool used toward the determining of reality).

We have the ability to engineer our realities/universes to whatever we want. So, we are all "quantum mechanics". Our universe is created by us, and only us. We decide what exists, what happens, and what is to be - even what has been.

We are always tinkering with the fabrics of our reality in order to create a better existence for ourselves.
